Madrid's supporters asked, Ronaldo answered positively and scored his first two free-kick goals for Real, against Zurich. The two goals contributed to a safe win in the first round of Group C in the 2009/2010 Champions League. 2-5 was the final score.A different luck had Barcelona, in this round's big game. In Milan, against Inter, there were no goals. Ibrahimovic and Eto'o played against their former teams for the first time and the Swedish nearly scored.
It was a great start for the British teams, on the other hand. Chelsea had a tough time to win against Porto (1-0), so did Manchester United against Besiktas (0-1). Liverpool took the three points after winning, 1-0 also, against Debrecen and Arsenal had a great turnaround in the score, winning against Standard Liège for 3-2.
